Contract sources and parties
Attach drafting sources and maintain the people and organizations involved in an agreement.
Open the contract from the Projects Hub. Sources supply material for drafting and review; parties record who is involved in the agreement. Changing either requires Contributor access or higher in the workspace and project, with active Platform and Autopilot Contracts licenses. Approved or Archived status and an active Autopilot lock can prevent changes.
Sources
Open Settings > Sources. The Project files, Templates, and Failed counts describe the loaded page of sources. When the list spans pages, the message says that the summary reflects this page. Use Previous and Next and check the displayed range and total before treating the summary as a complete inventory.
- Choose Add source.
- Choose Template or Drive file and select one item.
- Check Selected source, then choose Add source.
- Confirm that the source appears in the list.
Use Open file in drive to inspect an attached file. Read processing warnings before asking Autopilot to use it; a failed file needs attention in the project Drive. A template supplies a starting structure or drafting material; attaching it does not itself write the clauses.
Use the source's delete action only when it should no longer ground this contract. Read the Delete source confirmation, check the selected source, and confirm or cancel. If an action fails, check the list before retrying.
Parties
Select Overview in the outline and find Parties. Our party is your side of the agreement; Counterparty is the other contracting side. Third parties records other involved parties. These counts summarize the loaded page, rather than every party when there are additional pages.
Choose View parties to show the party records and filters. Use Hide filters to collapse that management view. Search by name and narrow by kind, role, or a two-letter country code. Linked users and Linked business units filter only the records on the loaded page; they do not search all pages for linked records. Use Previous and Next and check the shown range and total. To broaden the list, clear the search and country and restore All kinds, All roles, and All links.

Add or change a party
- Choose Add party, or open a party's menu and choose Edit party.
- Select Role: Our party, Counterparty, Third party, Guarantor, or Other. A guarantor is a party that guarantees another party's obligations.
- Select Kind: Person, Business, or Other. Enter a readable Display name and the relevant Email, Country, and Address.
- Use Linked user to connect a project member where applicable, or choose No user. Search business units by legal name and select the relevant unit, or No business unit.
- Choose Save party and check the saved record.

A business unit is a saved organization record. New unit creates one; Edit unit updates the selected unit. The selected unit also shows its signatories, the people authorized to sign for it. Check these details before changing a shared unit. See business units for organization and signatory management.

Closing an edited party form can ask whether to discard unsaved changes. Keep editing if you need to retain them. If saving fails, read the message and check the party list before trying again.
Delete a party
Open the party's menu and choose Delete party. Check the named party in the confirmation, then confirm or cancel. Check the resulting list before adding a replacement. Deleting a party record does not resolve any wording in the draft that still names that party.
