Project members and sharing

Add people and teams, choose project roles, and review workspace access.

Open the Projects Hub, select a project, and choose Members to see its users and teams. A project Admin or Owner can manage access. Workspace membership alone does not always give access to every project.

Add a person or team

  1. Choose Add User in the members section, or Add Team in the teams section.
  2. Search for the workspace user by name or email, or search for the team. Select a result rather than leaving only search text in the field.
  3. Choose Role from the options available to you.
  4. Select Add User or Add Team and wait for confirmation.

Readers can read project content. Contributors can create and edit artifacts and review assessment items. Admins and Owners can also manage project settings and access. Some actions require an active license for the relevant artifact type.

If a person is not a workspace member, invite them to the workspace first. Already-added people and teams are omitted from the add dialog. Clear the search and inspect the existing members before trying again.

Change or remove access

Search the members list or filter by role, then change the person's or team's role. Use the page controls to inspect more users. Sorena limits the roles you can assign according to your own authority; a disabled role is not available to you.

Use the member's remove action to remove their direct project assignment, then review the confirmation. Removing a team removes that team's project assignment. A person may still have project access through another assignment, a team, or workspace sharing. Check those routes when removing a direct membership does not remove access.

Set default workspace access

  1. Choose Workspace Sharing from Members, or open the project's Settings and its workspace sharing card.
  2. Review the current default role and choose the intended sharing level.
  3. Save the change and check the confirmation.

This setting applies workspace-wide access to the project. Use individual or team assignments when access should be limited to selected collaborators. Check the access summary in project settings when you need to understand how your own access was granted.

If a change fails, leave the page open, check whether the member or role already changed, and retry only the missing action. Ask a project Owner to review your role if management controls are unavailable.
