Maintain assessment questions
Add questions, edit answers, preview text changes, and arrange or remove assessment items.
Contributors, Admins, and Owners can maintain questions when platform and assessment access are active. Editing pauses while the assessment is processing. Read the message beside disabled controls before retrying.
Add questions
- Open the Projects Hub, select the project and assessment, then choose Add Items above Artifact Items.
- Enter one question per line in Questions. Numbered and bulleted lines are cleaned up automatically; check the displayed item count.
- Optionally set Area and Default answer. Each applies to every question you add in this dialog.
- Check Default compliance. It starts as Compliant, so choose the appropriate value before adding the questions.
- Choose Add Items, or the button showing the number of items to add.
New items start waiting for approval. Check the questions and compliance values before reviewing answers.
Edit a question or answer
- Find the item and choose Edit, or open it with Open question and choose Edit question.
- Change Requirement Question, Description, or Answer. The question cannot be empty.
- Choose Save changes to apply the text changes.
When Preview is available, choose it to inspect the proposed text in the assessment before saving. Previewed fields are marked Preview. Choose Save preview to keep them or Dismiss preview to discard the preview.
The Compliance status dropdown saves its selection immediately, including inside the edit dialog. Cancel and Dismiss preview do not undo a compliance choice that has already saved. Change the dropdown again if you chose the wrong value.
Arrange or delete items
Clear search and filters, sort by Order in ascending order, then use Move item up or Move item down. Reordering is unavailable while the list is filtered or sorted another way.
Use Delete on the item and inspect the confirmation. Deleting a question removes its comments, reviewer assignments, and activity history. Use this when the question should be removed, rather than to record a negative review decision. Choose Reject when an answer needs correction.
Find missing items
The list distinguishes loaded items from the total. Use Load More to continue through a large assessment. If no items match, clear status, compliance, area, assignee, and policy-violation filters before concluding that the question is absent.
If a question link is unavailable, choose Try again, then return to the assessment to check whether it was removed or your access changed. If Sorena shows the last loaded version after a refresh failure, retry before relying on it for a decision.
