Assessment settings and sources

Maintain review details, source files, exclusions, monitoring, and assessment context.

Open the Projects Hub, select the project and assessment, then choose Settings. Contributors, Admins, and Owners can edit settings when assessment access is active and processing has finished. The tabs separate review metadata from the material used to prepare answers.

Change details and review settings

In General, change the name or description and choose Save changes. The name is required.

In Review, use Assessment Status to move the assessment through Draft, In Progress, Under Review, Approved, Needs Update, or Archived. This changes the assessment's overall status. Individual question decisions remain separate.

Audience and content classification save when selected. Review these choices alongside NDA and domain access settings when the assessment contains restricted information. For domain changes, choose Save domain access after updating the allowed domains or all-domains choice.

Set the review frequency, deadline, and NDA information, then choose Save Review Settings. Where Review completion is available, check Last reviewed and Next review, then choose Mark reviewed after checking the current review schedule. Sorena refreshes review dates and activity after success.

Maintain the question sources

Open Seed Files to see the files from which AI extracts questions or controls.

  1. Choose Add from Drive to browse project files, select the required files, and confirm Add Seed Files.
  2. Choose Add from Templates when template access is available, find a template, and confirm the selection.
  3. Check that the new source appears in the list.

The remove action removes a file from the assessment's seed list. To update a library-backed source, check its version label and Update available badge, then choose Update template. Wait for Template updated before continuing. If the source list cannot refresh, choose Try again; previously loaded sources may still be displayed.

Changing sources does not replace the need to inspect the resulting questions and answers. Use AI Autopilot when you need to import or regenerate assessment material, then check the resulting items.

Exclude files or policy checks

Exclusions lists files that AI must not use when answering. Choose Add Exclusion Files, browse the project Drive, select files, and confirm. Removing a file from this list makes it eligible for answering again. File exclusions apply during the answering phase; they do not remove the files from Drive.

AI Policies controls which policy checks are excluded. Choose Browse & Add Exclusions, browse policy groups or templates, review the selection and scope, provide the requested reason, then confirm. Check Applied Exclusions afterward. Use an exclusion's delete action when it should no longer apply. A file exclusion and a policy exclusion have different effects, so check which tab you are editing.

Monitoring and context

In Monitoring, use Continuous AI Monitoring to enable or disable monitoring. Sorena shows the saved Enabled or Disabled state. When enabled, changes to Drive files and seed or exclusion files trigger monitoring.

In Context, review the assessment context and operation objective. These fields may initially be AI-generated. Edit them to describe the assessment's scope and intended outcome, then choose Save or Save Context Changes. Markdown is supported. Refresh reloads the saved context; save changes you want to keep first.

Delete an assessment

When the delete control is available to you, use General > Delete Assessment Artifact. Type the assessment name and confirm Delete assessment. This permanently removes the assessment, its items and history, and its placements in management systems. Published versions remain as snapshots. The deletion cannot be undone.

If a settings update fails, check the visible value and confirmation message before retrying. If editing is paused, wait for processing to finish; if access remains unavailable, ask a project administrator to check your role and the workspace's licenses.
