Assess your current posture
Evaluate your existing practices and evidence with an RFP questionnaire, gap analysis, or another project assessment.
Use an assessment to evaluate what your organization does today and the evidence you have to support it. This is your current posture. An assessment brings questions, answers, supporting sources, and review decisions together inside a project.
You can use assessments for a request for proposal (RFP) questionnaire, a gap analysis, a security review, or another set of questions. The questions you choose and the sources you provide define what you assess. You do not need to build a management system before creating an assessment.
Prepare your assessment
Decide what the assessment should answer and who will review the results. Gather the questionnaire or requirements you need to work through, along with the existing policies, records, and other evidence that can support your answers.
Open Projects and select the project for this work. If you need a new project, follow Create a project. Creating and editing an assessment requires Contributor access or higher in both the workspace and project, with active Platform and Assessment licenses.
Work through the questions
- Create an assessment from a questionnaire file or a prepared assessment questionnaire.
- Upload supporting project files and check which files the assessment can use. Keep the questions to be answered separate from the evidence used to answer them.
- Edit questions and answers, or run assessment Autopilot to help process the material.
- Check the evidence behind each answer, then review the answers with your team.
- Export the assessment when you need to share the results outside Sorena.
For a gap analysis, use the requirements as the questions and your current practices and evidence as the basis for each answer. For an RFP questionnaire, use the questions you received and check that each response is supported before sharing it.
Build compliance with IMS
If you need to build compliance from scratch, start with an Integrated Management System (IMS). IMS helps you organize frameworks and requirements, create the documents you need, and collect evidence as you work toward compliance. Its requirement assessments help you review progress within that system.
For either workflow, check the answers and supporting evidence before making a decision. AI output and a completed questionnaire do not establish compliance on their own.
