Getting started

Choose your workflow

Build compliance from scratch with IMS, or assess your existing practices and evidence through a questionnaire, gap analysis, or another assessment.

Choose the work you need to do, then open Sorena and check the workspace name in the sidebar. Your workspace's licenses and your role determine which actions are available. If you have not joined a workspace yet, start with Getting started.

Build compliance from scratch with IMS

Use an integrated management system (IMS) to organize the requirements you need to meet, prepare documents, and collect evidence of how your organization works. You can start from available frameworks and templates, then review progress and close gaps as you build the system.

  1. Choose the workspace that will own the system. Creating a system requires workspace Admin or Owner access and active Platform and IMS licenses.
  2. Create a management system, choose its frameworks, and review its name and scope.
  3. Review the sections and roadmap to plan the work. Use IMS templates to find relevant documents and evidence requests.
  4. Create documents and collect evidence. Review the destination project and your access before creating or linking content.
  5. Assess requirements and export reports, then review proposed gap repairs.

Creating documents or linking evidence does not by itself establish compliance. Review whether the content describes your organization's practices and meets the relevant requirements.

Assess your current posture

Your current posture means the practices, documents, and evidence your organization already has. Use a project assessment to evaluate them through a request for proposal (RFP) questionnaire, a gap analysis, or another set of assessment questions.

  1. Open an existing project in Projects Hub, or create a project. To create an assessment, you need Contributor access or higher in both the workspace and project, plus active Platform and Assessment licenses.
  2. Prepare a questionnaire or a file containing the questions or requirements you want to assess.
  3. Create an assessment and check its sources, review details, and exclusions.
  4. Add the existing material you want to use as evidence through Project files. Check that files are ready before using them to support answers.
  5. Check the evidence, review the answers, and export the assessment when it is ready.

See Assess your current posture for the assessment workflow, including where Autopilot can help and what your reviewers need to check.

If an action is unavailable

Read the message beside the action, then check the workspace, project role, and active licenses. Ask a workspace owner or project admin for the access you need. If the action remains unavailable after they check, contact support with the action and message shown. Keep sign-in links, private documents, and credentials out of your request.
