Choose a workspace
Switch to the right workspace and understand why access differs between people and projects.
A workspace holds your team's projects, members, and integrations. Check its name before uploading files, inviting a colleague, or connecting GitHub.
If you belong to several workspaces, select the workspace name at the top of the sidebar. Search by name if needed, then choose a workspace. Sorena confirms the switch and shows the information available there. With only one workspace, its name and your role appear without a switching menu.
Understand your access
Sorena uses four roles: Reader, Contributor, Admin, and Owner. Workspace access and project access apply at different levels. Being a workspace member does not mean you can edit every project.
| You need to | Access to check |
|---|---|
| Open a project and read its work | Access to that project |
| Edit assessment answers or upload files | Contributor, Admin, or Owner access to that project |
| Manage project members or settings | Admin or Owner access to that project |
| Invite people to the workspace | Workspace Admin or Owner |
| Manage the GitHub integration | Workspace Admin or Owner |
Some features also require an active workspace license. If an action is unavailable, read its explanation before asking for a role change. A different role will not enable a feature your workspace does not have.
If a workspace or project is missing
Clear any workspace search and confirm that you signed in with the invited email. Ask a workspace admin or owner to check membership if the workspace is still absent. For a missing project, ask a project admin or owner to check project access.
Workspace admins can invite people. If you cannot sign in to check access, use the support options.
Find workspace controls
Open Workspace in Sorena after choosing your workspace. The Platform license is required. The tabs available to you depend on your role and licenses.
| Tab or page | What you can do |
|---|---|
| Overview in Sorena | Review the workspace's license information. |
| General | Read workspace details, domains, risk appetite, and risk review policy. Admins and owners can edit them. |
| Users and Invites | Find members and manage invitations. Account removal has separate consequences described in member lifecycle. |
| Authentication | Admins and owners with the required SSO license can manage sign-in providers. |
| Business units | View legal entities and their signatories. Admins and owners can manage them. |
| Integrations | Review AI service preferences and provider settings. Available controls depend on your licenses. |
| Activity | Review workspace events. |
| Billing | Admins and owners can review credit, usage, and spend. |
Use Profile for your own details and Teams for team membership. Changing a profile or team does not change the selected workspace.
