File details and extracted information

Review a file's content, identifiers, dates, citations and extracted details.

Open Projects Hub, choose the project, and open Drive. Select a file name or choose Preview from its actions menu. You need access to the project and the workspace's Platform feature. Readers can review accessible files; managing the files requires Contributor access or higher in both the workspace and project.

The preview has eight possible tabs. Content, AI Action, and Details are always available. Identifiers, Status, Timeline, Citations, and Entities appear when the file has information for them. An absent tab means no information was extracted for that category; check the original before concluding that it contains none.

Choose Open Full View for more reading space in a new tab. The full view presents the content with an AI action panel and expandable information cards. Close that browser tab to return to your previous work. If the file cannot load, retry from Drive and check the selected project and your access.

Content

Read the extracted text and any available document summary. Use Copy to copy the extracted content when it is available. Compare important passages with Download Original before using them as evidence. Missing extracted text can reflect the file's processing state or format; follow processing recovery rather than assuming the original is blank.

AI Action

Leave the instruction empty for a brief summary, or enter an instruction for a custom artificial intelligence (AI) action on this document. Choose Run AI Action, wait for Result, and use Copy result if you need a copy. Readers with the Platform feature can run this action too. If it fails, check the error and retry when ready.

Review the result against the original before relying on it. The default summary can reuse an existing summary. Custom instructions produce a result for review; they do not edit the original file. There is no separate Save or Apply step in this tab. For translation, extraction, anonymization, and criteria matching, see file processing and AI actions.

Identifiers

Check the identifier type and value to confirm which document you are reading. Primary marks an identifier designated as primary in the extracted information. When View source is available, open it to compare the identifier with its source. A primary identifier does not establish that this is your team's latest approved version.

Status

Read the extracted status type and value, plus its date and note when present. These describe statuses recorded in the document. Compare them with the original and any later decisions before treating them as current.

For Queued, Processing, Completed, or failure messages, check the Drive row or queue and follow processing recovery.

Timeline

Review dates and events extracted from the document, including any event label and note. The preview starts with OLDEST FIRST; choose the sort control to switch to NEWEST FIRST, or switch back to read events in date order.

These are document events, such as dates mentioned in the text. Use audit trails when you need to review actions taken in Sorena.

Citations

Read references extracted from the document. Links within a citation open its source in a new tab when available. Compare the cited material with the statement you plan to use; an extracted citation alone does not verify that statement.

Entities

Review the people, organizations, locations, or other named entities found in the document. An entry can include a type, role, and department. Select an entity with a name to copy that name. If copying fails, try again. These entries describe the document's contents and do not add people to the project or grant them access.

Details

Check the available Path, Version, Owner, Approval, Departments, and Type values. View Source opens the source link when one is recorded. Fields without information may be absent.

Owner, department, and approval information extracted from a file describe what the file records. Verify the current owner and approval decision with your team before relying on them. Reviewing these tabs, changing the timeline order, and copying a value do not save changes to the original document.

To move, rename, link, download, or remove the file, return to manage project files.
