Management systems

Change management system settings

Edit system details, manage frameworks and document destinations, and review deletion.

Open Management systems, choose a system, then use the System settings gear. Settings require workspace administrator access or above and active Platform and IMS access.

General

Use Name for the full name people see across the workspace, Short name for its abbreviated label, and Description to explain the system's scope. Name is required; short name and description can be left blank.

Choose Save changes, then check the saved details. Discard replaces unsaved General changes with the current saved values. If someone changed the system while you were editing, your save is blocked and your draft is preserved. Compare or keep a note of your intended changes before discarding and loading the current values, then reapply and save them. If reloading fails, resolve that error before trying again.

Frameworks

Review the declared framework badges and choose Manage frameworks. Follow Manage a system's frameworks to review and save the complete list. General's Save changes does not save a framework declaration draft.

Domain destinations

A domain is an area of work, such as information security. Destinations choose the projects where supporting content for each domain is created. The system uses workspace defaults unless it has an override. Changing a destination leaves existing content in place. Follow the destination procedure to select projects you can use and check the saved result.

Draft documents from templates

Use this section to create a draft for each expected template and link it to the requirements that expect it.

  1. Choose destinations and review any proposed project creation.
  2. Decide whether to Reuse existing content. If it is selected, choose what to do when an existing document is older than its template.
  3. Choose Preview plan. Review new drafts, reused content, added links, skipped work and any follow-up updates. Use Next and Previous if the plan has several pages.
  4. Confirm with the Populate action showing the template and update counts, or choose Cancel to close the plan. Nothing to populate means the plan has no creation or linking work to start.
  5. Read the resulting status and skipped work before retrying. If the plan changed, review the refreshed destinations and outcomes before confirming again.

Changing destinations or reuse choices requires a fresh preview. A limited plan may cover only part of the work; check run counts before repeating it for outstanding documents. See Templates and destinations and Review template updates for reuse and update outcomes.

Delete system

Delete system removes the system's sections, requirement entries, links and assessments. Project artifacts and files remain in their projects.

Read the named-system confirmation before confirming Delete system. Cancel if you need to preserve the system or inspect its requirements first. Successful deletion returns you to Management systems. If the action fails, read the error and check the system's current state before retrying.
