Manage a system's frameworks
Add or remove declared frameworks, review the full list, and recover a changed draft.
A declared framework supplies sections and requirements to a management system. Open Management systems, choose a system, then open Frameworks. Workspace administrators can change its declared list in a workspace with Platform and IMS access.
Add a framework and save the list
- Choose Add framework to open Manage frameworks. You can also reach Frameworks through Manage frameworks in System settings.
- Search for the framework and select the intended edition. Choose Add to list.
- Review the entire draft, including frameworks already declared. Remove only frameworks you intend to undeclare.
- Choose Review and save, read Replace declared frameworks?, then choose Save declared list.
- Check the saved list and the reported entries seeded or removed and sections added or removed. Open Requirements and Structure to inspect the result. If a count was not returned, check those views rather than assuming nothing changed.
Saving replaces the full declared list. Adding a framework to the draft alone does not save it. New frameworks add their sections and requirement entries. Keep every existing declaration that should remain in the system.
On a framework card, Requirements opens the register filtered to that framework, Framework opens its definition, and Export prepares a statement for it. Use the card's order menu to Make primary, Move up, or Move down. The first framework is primary; check the order after saving a move.

Remove a declaration carefully
Remove the framework from the draft and review the replacement list before confirming. Undeclaring removes that framework's requirement entries and framework sections when they hold no linked artifacts or files. Linked content can block removal. Resolve the reported blockers and review the current declarations before retrying; do not remove supporting links merely to bypass the warning.
An Archived edition cannot remain in a declaration being saved when the editor asks you to remove it. If removal is blocked, review its linked material and the current list before making another change. For framework definitions and workspace-owned changes, see Custom governance.
Recover a changed or blocked draft
If declarations changed while the editor was open, choose Load current declarations for review. Compare the current list with your draft.
- Restore current list to draft replaces your draft with the refreshed declarations. Make the intended changes again and review the full list.
- Keep my draft preserves your choices. Reconcile them with the current list before saving, including any declaration that cannot be removed.
Prepare a new review after resolving the warning. A failed save does not prove that the current list still matches the draft you first opened.
