Link risks and discuss decisions

Open the Risk Register and choose a risk. You can inspect its related records, discussion, and activity with access to its project. Changes to relationships and discussion require contribution access.

From the full risk record, choose Manage under Relationships. Choose Manage within the relationships area if its editor is not already open.

Select a Relationship, choose the target risk, and select Set. The available links are Parent, Depends on, and Duplicate of. Select a different risk; a risk cannot link to itself.

The page shows outgoing links and the incoming Children, Dependents, and Duplicates groups. Open a related card to inspect that risk's title, severity, status, and detail. To remove an outgoing link, use its clear-link control and confirm Clear. Clearing a relationship removes the link between the records.

If no targets appear, check the project and available access. If the page reports that relationships could not load, the details still visible may be the latest loaded copy; reload before deciding which link to change. A failed change shows an error message and can be retried.

Discuss the riskCopy Anchor Link

Go to Discussion on the full risk page. Add a comment to explain a decision, ask for evidence, or provide a treatment update. Use Reply on a top-level comment to keep a follow-up in its thread.

You can edit or delete your own comments when you have contribution access. Choose the comment's edit control, change the text, then Save, or use Cancel to keep the original. Use the delete control to remove your comment. Wait for the result before repeating the action.

If discussion is empty, add the first comment. If posting fails, keep the text, read the error, and retry after checking your access. Use the risk's lifecycle controls for formal review and acceptance decisions so those decisions are recorded in the appropriate fields.

Inspect activityCopy Anchor Link

Open the detail page's More menu and choose Activity. The page lists available events for the risk, including changes, reviews, and relationship updates. Entries can include the actor, time, note, status change, and a link to a related risk. A removed item may appear as No longer available.

Use Refresh for the latest records and Previous or Next for older pages. If activity cannot load, choose Try again. Previously loaded records can remain visible while a refresh fails. No activity yet means no records are available in this view.

Share context or ask CopilotCopy Anchor Link

Use More, then Share, to copy the risk link. Recipients still need access to the risk's project. If the browser cannot copy the link, use the address bar to copy the page address. The same menu offers CSV, TSV, and JSON exports for the current risk.

Choose Ask Copilot or Open Copilot to open a chat with the risk's scoring, sources, owners, actions, and artifact context attached. Opening this chat requires a Research Copilot license in addition to the Platform license and access to the risk's project. See Access and licenses if you cannot open it. Review suggested changes and apply decisions through the risk's controls.
