Upload project files

Add supporting material to a project's Drive and check whether each file is ready for use.

Store supporting material in the project where the team will use it. Drive requires the workspace's Platform feature. Uploading and managing files also requires Contributor, Admin, or Owner access to that project; Readers can view and download accessible files.

  1. Open Projects Hub, choose the project, and open Drive.
  2. Open the folder where the file belongs, or create a folder to organize the material.
  3. Choose Upload and select your files. You can also drag files into the Drive.
  4. Watch Uploads for progress. If an upload fails, use its retry control after checking the message.
  5. Check the file's processing status in the Drive before relying on its contents in an assessment.

Use Upload to add project files, then check their processing status. Example data.

Uploading the original file and processing its contents are separate steps. A completed upload can still have processing work queued or in progress. The Drive shows statuses such as Queued, Processing, Completed, Failed, or Stale so you can check what still needs attention.

Check a file

Search the Drive by file name or use its filters to find the material. Open a file to review its available preview and content. Confirm that it is the right version and belongs in this project before selecting it as an assessment source.

To use a file while setting up an assessment, select it under Assessment sources > Upload / Drive Files. When reviewing an existing answer, the evidence dialog links back to the project file if a source link is available.

If a file is missing or still processing

Check the project and folder, then clear search and status filters. Confirm the upload finished. If the file is present with a processing problem, read its status and available actions before uploading another copy.

If the status remains unresolved, contact support with the status, time, and step where the file stopped. Describe the type of document without sending its private contents.
